Using the Microsoft Edge web browser

Who can use this - all Video Call users

In January 2020, Microsoft released its new Edge web browser update, Microsoft Edge Version 79, based on the Chromium open-source project.

With this release of Edge from Microsoft, healthdirect Video Call works using the Microsoft Edge browser.

This browser will be available on all Windows machines subject to auto-updates and IT department permissions. This browser supports healthdirect Video Call which means you will be able to use it for your video calls.

Previously, Video Call was not supported on the Edge web browser; however, the new version is supported on Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, and MacOS 10.12+.

If you would like to upgrade to the new Edge browser now, click here to download immediately.

Microsoft Edge is now also available on iOS and Android, but only the Android version works for healthdirect Video Call.

Please see our web browser requirements page for information on supported browsers, including Microsoft Edge, for various operating systems and devices.
