Apple Virtual backgrounds in macOS Sequoia
Apple virtual backgrounds are now available when using macOS Sequoia
If you are using a Mac computer, Apple now provides as option to add an Apple virtual background. Please note this option is different to the virtual background technology available in the healthdirect Video Call service itself.
With MacOS Sequoia, you can choose a virtual background in FaceTime and compatible third-party videoconferencing apps, including healthdirect Video Call. This feature enhances your privacy by allowing you to obscure your physical location during video calls.
MacOS Sequoia now gives you additional options to customise the background of your Video Calls. This update allows you to choose from various background options, or even upload your own image for a more personalised experience. Follow the steps below to enable this feature.
Steps to Enable Virtual Backgrounds in Coviu on macOS Sequoia:
Sign into your healthdirect Video Call account and Join a call with a patient or start a New Video Call in the waiting area.
Click on the Video icon at the top of the call screen (usually on the top right or left hand side of your screen).
Click the rectangle icon next to Background to select a virtual background.
You can choose from a selection of colour gradients or system wallpapers.
Alternatively, you can upload your own image for a custom background. For more information visit the Apple support page for this feature: https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/facetime/fctm5d63d271/mac
