Thermometer Remote Vitals
How to remotely view data from a connected digital thermometer in real time
During a Video Call consultation, you have the option to view data from a patient using a connected digital thermometer in real time. Once you launch the Remote Vitals application and instruct your patient to connect their bluetooth or USB enabled health device to the Video Call, you will see the results live in the call screen, or access the history on the device (if supported by the device). You have the option to manage control for participants, take a screenshot for the patient's record, export data and more.
Please see below for instructions regarding supported digital thermometers and how to use the Remote Vitals App to connect a medical device into a Video Call consultation.

Connecting a digital thermometer into your call:
| To connect a digital thermometer into the Video Call, click on Apps & Tools > Remote Vitals. |
The App opens and the patient clicks on Add Device and selects the device in the pop up window.
Alternatively, you can click on Bluetooth for Another User in your screen (patients do not see this option unless they are given control) and select the participant to prompt them to connect their device.
Your patient will see a list of their active health devices appear on their screen, allowing them to select their device. This will connect their device to the Video Call via Bluetooth. |

Viewing and downloading historical data from the iHealth thermometer
Some monitoring devices have the ability to store historical data and this can be accessed during a Video Call. In this way you can view the data from the device to monitor your patient's health. Currently, this has been tested and is working on the iHealth PT3 pulse oximeter. Please use these steps to access the historical data on this device:
Join your patient in the Video Call and, when ready, click on Apps & Tools and select Remote Vitals.
Next, instruct your patient to click on Add Device.
If they do not take their temperature, the historical data will be accessed and start sharing into the Video Call. |
